Drug-Induced Hearing Loss

Aetiology

Certain drugs well known to cause sensorineural hearing loss:
  • Gentamicin and other aminoglycosides
  • Chemotherapeutic drugs - cisplatin, vincristine
  • Aspirin and NSAIDs (in overdose)
