Hyperplastic polyps
- Usually seen in association with gastritis and represent an exuberant attempt at regeneration
- Resemble the background mucosa but are arranged in polypoid projections and associated with significant inflammation
Fundic gland polyps
- Small incidental polyps
- Pathogenesis unclear, association with PPIs
- Increasing prevalence
