Inflammation of the tissue lining the sinuses
Aetiology
- Caused by sinuses being blocked e.g. in the common cold which allows bacteria to grow
Clinical presentation
- Frontal headache
- Toothache
- Nasal discharge
Management
- Usually self-limiting, can give nasal decongestant/nasal steroids
- Some need antibiotics
